The short version

Teamaet collects what athletes tell us in check-ins, rhythms, goals, and journals, and turns it into a picture of how they are doing. Coaches see patterns. Coaches do not see private reflections. Athletes can export or delete everything at any time.

What we collect

  • Account information — name, email address, role, and the organization and team you belong to.
  • Check-in responses — the answers you give in daily check-ins, typed, tapped, or spoken.
  • Activity in the product — rhythms you complete, goals you set, mental training you run, board posts you make, and reviews generated for you.
  • Journal entries — the private reflections you write or record.
  • Technical data — device and browser information, and product analytics used to understand how the app is used. This analytics record is identified, not anonymous: it is tied to your account, and your name, email address, role, and organization are shared with our analytics provider so we can tell which parts of the product help and which get abandoned. It records which screens you open and which actions you take. It never carries the content of what you write, and never carries your wellbeing numbers — no readiness, stress, mood, or ABC values are sent with it.

Who can see what

This is the part that matters most, so it is enforced in the database rather than only in the application.

  • Your journal is yours. Journal entries are protected by row-level security policies in the database. Coaches and staff cannot read them, and neither can other athletes.
  • Coaches see patterns. Coaching staff on your team see aggregated signals, trends, and the responses to items they assigned you — not the raw text of your private reflections.
  • Small groups stay anonymous. Team-level aggregates are withheld below a minimum group size, so a number can never be traced back to one person.
  • You control sharing. Sharing and visibility settings let you choose what is shared with your team, and you can change them at any time.
  • Raise Hand reaches no one. Opening Raise Hand shows you your school's own support services and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. It does not notify your coach, your athletic trainer, or anyone else.
  • We count opens, never who. We count how often each of a school's support services is opened, for the school as a whole, so the school can see whether its resources are used. Those counts carry no name and no account, they are never shown to a coach or other staff, and phone lines — including 988 and 911 — are never counted.

Your data, your call

You can export everything Teamaet holds about you in one action, in a machine-readable format. You can request deletion of your account and the data attached to it. If you are in the UK or EU, these rights are yours under the UK GDPR and GDPR; we extend the same rights to everyone regardless of where they are.

To make a request, contact us at our contact page.

Retention, processors, and jurisdiction

We keep your data for 24 months after your account closes, then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: Fly.io (application hosting), Neon (database hosting), PostHog (product analytics), and Anthropic and OpenAI (the AI features). Your journal entries are not sent to any of them for model training.

Because our analytics are identified, PostHog holds your name, email address, role, and organization alongside a record of the screens you open. Two things are deliberately kept out of it. Screen recording is switched off, so no one replays you writing a journal entry or a check-in. And the support screen — where the crisis and campus-support numbers live — is excluded from analytics entirely, so reaching for help is never recorded against your name.

The one number we do keep about support is a count, per school and per academic year, of how many times each listed resource was opened. It holds no identity — not your account, not a device, nothing that could be traced back — because it exists so a school can tell whether the resources it lists are any use, and for no other reason.

Not a medical service

Teamaet supports mental performance. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical care, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line.
